HARD PROBLEMS DON'T FIT CLEANLY INTO ONE DEPARTMENT.NEITHER DO I.

I'm Eric Fadden. My work lives between strategy, systems, operations, and implementation. Forged Cortex is the company I built so I can follow a problem wherever it actually goes and remain accountable for the result.

A NOTE ON THE "I's"

ONE PERSON. INFINITE LEVERAGE.

What's with all the "I's" on this website? It's just me. On purpose.

Forged Cortex is a real company, one that doesn't pretend to be something it's not. I'm not going to use corporate "we" to sound bigger than I am.

Here's the thing: I wouldn't be much of a builder if I didn't use the tools I talk about. Modern AI is a force multiplier across research, product design, code, testing, and operations. I use it inside a disciplined toolchain, with human judgment staying where it belongs: in charge.

And that's your advantage. When you work with Forged Cortex, you work with me. Period. No telephone game. No getting handed off to a junior associate. No explaining your project three times to three different people. The person who scopes the work is the person who builds it.

If you'd rather work with a larger shop that can say "we" and mean it, that's your call. But if you want to work directly with the person responsible for the outcome from day one, let's talk.

THE PROBLEM WITH CLEAN BOXES

POORLY INDEXED.HIGHLY USEFUL.

I was once described as the most employable unemployable person ever. The problem isn't usefulness. It's indexing.

Give me a messy organization and I'll start seeing the system beneath the symptoms: the people, workflows, incentives, technical debt, politics, risks, and the real constraint everyone has learned to work around.

My actual value lives between established categories. I can talk to the person doing the work, understand the operational reality, challenge the premise, design the system, explain the tradeoffs, and then build the damn thing.

That ambiguity is inconvenient when a system wants one tidy title. It is extremely useful when your problem crosses technical, operational, and human boundaries.Real problems usually do.

I've never fit cleanly inside one discipline. Forged Cortex is what happens when I stop trying to.

THE STORY

FORGED IN THE FIRE OF REAL-WORLD IT

I started in IT operations, long before modern AI became a practical tool. I worked on the front lines of just making things work. When a system went down at 2 AM, I was the one getting paged. When a project failed, I was the one cleaning up the mess.

That changes how you think about technology over time.

You stop caring about what's impressive in a demo and you start caring about what survives contact with reality and users. What actually gets adopted by real people and enterprises? What keeps working when you stop babysitting it?

When modern AI became useful, I saw the same patterns repeating: impressive demos, failed implementations, abandoned pilots. The industry wasn't learning from history. It was repeating the same mistakes it had made with every other technological leap. I decided to build the missing bridge between possibility and production.

Forged Cortex was built to be different. Not different because I say it is, but different because I know what production-ready means because I've lived it. I hate hype cycles. I care about what works when real people, real data, and real operational constraints show up.

HOW I'M DIFFERENT

WHAT SETS ME APART

HONESTY OVER HYPE

I'll tell you when AI isn't the answer. I'd rather lose a sale than waste your money on something that won't work.

Too many consultants sell solutions before understanding problems. I start with your reality, not a sales pitch.

PRODUCTION OR NOTHING

A demo that never ships is a waste of everyone's time. I build things that actually run, actually scale, and actually get used.

See my process—every engagement is designed to deliver production-ready results.

PEOPLE MATTER MORE THAN TECH

The best system in the world is worthless if the people who need it cannot use it. I build around the real workflow, not an imaginary perfect user.

Shipping matters. So do handoff, adoption, maintenance, and what happens after launch.
